DjedThe engine, the agent, the iPhone app

The rota for your vet practice Hello. I’m Djed.

Tell me how your practice works. I build the whole team’s month, on-call included, in a few seconds. You always have the final say.

Fair, and the numbers prove it.

Djed, live

You state a rule. Djed rebuilds the month.

No more evenings dragging boxes around. You type it or say it (in French for now), Djed shows you what it understood and you confirm. The engine does the rest.

DjedOctober ready

Julie no longer does on-call on Tuesdays, and Mark is on leave from the 19th to the 23rd.

I understood two things. I’ll show you before touching the rota.

What the price pays for

The month built, set up by talking, in everyone’s pocket.

A spreadsheet leaves you an empty grid. Djed builds the month, tells you why each slot is there, and puts it in the whole team’s pocket.

01The engine

Your rules aren’t negotiated. They’re computed.

Days off, limits, rest after on-call, closures: the hard rules you set are engine constraints it never breaks on its own. Fairness is measured person by person, over twelve months.

  • Rest after a night on-call 31 / 31
  • Limit on days per week respected
  • Fixed days and days off respected
  • Minimum cover every day 100%

02The Djed agent

You describe. Djed sets it up. You confirm.

An absence, a new contract, an on-call rule: you describe it to Djed (in French for now) and Djed shows you a card before changing anything. Nothing moves without your click.

Lea moves to 28 hours from November.

Lea Reid: 28-hour weekly contract

From 1 November. October doesn’t change.

ConfirmEdit

November is rebuilt. Lea has 3 fewer days and nobody goes over their target.

03The iPhone app

The rota in every team member’s pocket.

Everyone sees their own days and on-call, asks for a swap or for leave. A notification when the month is published, another when a colleague offers a swap. The app is in French for now.

Clear answers, before you start.

Can the Djed agent change my rota without me?

No. Djed shows you a card with what it understood. Nothing changes until you confirm, and a published rota no longer moves.

Is the app in English?

Not yet. This site is in English, but the app (the rota, the settings and the Djed agent) is in French for now, and the agent understands rules written in French. Support replies in English or French. We’ll let you know when the app is available in English.

Does Djed apply working time law (rest, limits)?

No, and we’d rather say so. Djed works in days: you set days off, a limit on days per week, consecutive days and rest days after on-call, which approximate the rules you follow, and the engine respects the ones you mark as hard, like closures. Limits counted in hours (11 hours' daily rest, weekly rest, the 48-hour average) are not checked. Compliance of the rota remains the employer’s responsibility: have your rules checked by your HR or employment adviser.

Are vet nurses handled like vets?

Yes. Two separate teams (vets and vet nurses), each with its own rules, shifts and fairness. An admin can run one team or both.

Is there an Android app?

The iPhone app, in French for now, is in beta on TestFlight and will come to the App Store. Android will follow. In the meantime, Djed works in any mobile browser, Android included.

We have three practices. One account or three?

Just one: one account per company, for all your practices. The price is per practice and, from 3 practices, the Group plan starts at €99 excl. VAT per practice per month.

We’ve used Excel for ten years. What about switching?

Your rules are set in a single session: on your own during the 14-day trial, answering Djed’s questions, or with us in 30 minutes (in English or French). The first month is built in front of you and you compare it with your spreadsheet before deciding anything.

What if I don’t like the rota it suggests?

You’re in charge: drag and drop, pin, lock. The engine rebuilds around your decisions and the fairness index updates live.

Is Djed complete rota software for vet practices?

Yes: the whole month for the vets (days, night shifts, on-call, weekends) and for the vet nurses, built together. The engine applies your rules and measures fairness person by person.

Your turn. Tell us about your practice.

Ten minutes of questions with Djed, then your first month as a draft. Nobody else sees it until you publish it.
